You are bidding on a BEAUTIFUL and VERY RARE example of a WW2 German Kriegsmarine Navy
Aräometer (Hydrometer), as
used in many Ships and U-Boats!
The German Navy
Aräometer
was used by crew members to test the density / salinity of salt water.  This was important when determining the torpedo time delay settings on U-Boats.
Made of glass and steel,
this is a SUPERB example, and comes COMPLETE with it's original cardboard tube!  Numerous markings and stamps throughout, with NO breaks, cracks, or damage!  Appears to be 100% functional!
It measures approx. 11.5" in length, it was b
rought back by a US veteran.  Would make a FANTASTIC addition to any collection, or display!
