Vtg Hy-Grade NYC fixed 4 3/4” blade celluloid handle knife W/sheath Rare

Here is a vintage rare Hy-Grade NYC fixed 4 3/4” blade with acetate and celluloid handle knife. The 4 3/4 inch blade has been sharpened and maintained as carbon steel blade. The total knife is 8 5/8 inches long. The guard and handle are tight no loose parts. The handle consists of stacked acetate brown and reddish rings with two large amber colored celluloid center pieces. The pommel is a brass plate. A very attractive and hard to find knife. I have collected these cellulod handle knives for years and have owned many of them. This one has a new leather sheath that fits the knife not the original. Hy-Grade knives are not listed in the Goins book. Which brings me to make an empirical observation statement. I have owned many Weske knives of Sandusky Ohio, some are almost identical to this knife. So in my opinion this Hy-Grade knife was likely made by Weske in their early years of 1946 to 1951 before they started etching the logo on the blade. This is a used knife from my collection.
