    Description

The reason for the question marks in the title is that I know nothing about pipes and so I am selling this one
    "as is".
The pipe appears to be vintage meerschaum, quite possibly dating back to the late 19th century, featuring a beautiful hand carved bowl in the shape of a classic looking woman wearing some sort of headdress.
The entire bowl and shank have a rich brown patina, which may or may not be original
    .
The bowl is in excellent condition with no visible chips, cracks or repairs.  The stem is amber colored  but I don't know whether it is genuine amber or not. It seems to be permanently attached to the shank (glued?), but I was able to get a pipe cleaner through to the bowl. There are some light teeth marks on the stem.  The chamber is darkened, showing evidence of having been well smoked.
The silver band may well be genuine silver as it is non-magnetic, tarnishes and passes the 'ice cube' test.   The pipe measures approximately 6 inches in length,  1 1/2 inches in width and 2 1/2 inches in height.  I could not find any markings anywhere on the pipe, which has been sitting in a sealed plastic bin for the past 40 years.  Please see photos for a more detailed description.  Shipped USPS Priority Mail within three business days after receipt of payment.
