Vintage Carved Bald Eagle
Meerschaum Pipe and leather case.  The intricately carved bald eagle pipe is used (smoked) and does have a distinct pipe tobacco odor as well as carbon residue in the bowl.  In addition, there is discoloration on the exterior together with minor scratches.  The pipe has a variegated amber colored stem showing minor signs of use and does move easily when attached to the bowl portion of the pipe.  There is a carved flower design on the side of the smooth portion of the bowl but we have been unable to identify whether it represents the maker's mark or if it is just decorative in nature.  There are no other markings on the pipe or case. The pipe could use a good cleaning.
The pipe measures approximately 5 1/2" in length with the bowl approximately 2 1/4" tall and 3/4" interior diameter.  As mentioned above, the pipe has been used and does have remnants of carbon in the bowl together with a pipe tobacco odor.
The pipe will come in its original leather case.  The interior of the case is lined in a brown corduroy material and measures approximately 6" x 3 1/4".  The case does show minor signs of wear along the seams and the clasp is in good working order.  The corduroy interior shows minimal wear and slight staining.
As can be seen in the photos, the pipe is in great condition for its age and would make a wonderful addition to your eagle, bird, carved head, Meerschaum, or other pipe collections.  We will be listing other pipes and invite you to view those listings.  We will combine shipping if at all possible.
