excellent condition
, very clean (exterior).  See how it looks in a big hand (pic #2).
Case (I think mostly suede leather) in excellent condition and works very well (brass claps shuts tightly, exterior very clean for its age), interior also very nice, with "Genuine Meerschaum" embossed into the surface). Brass hinges work very well.
There are
chips
on the stem (see pictures) near the mouthpiece, but the stem is still very solid and functions well.
Mouthpiece is made of ox horn, I think.
There is a faint large black "
S
" mark on the case.  It's initial for "
Schultz
", a renowned wealthy family in New Jersey since 1800's.  The pipe is part of an
Estate
purchase from their
historical house
(was a
museum
for many years until recently). I can provide a little more info after you made the purchase.
