Spectronic Unicam Genesys 8 Spectrophotometer
For sale- a Spectronic Unicam Genesys 8 Spectrophotometer.
I believe that Spectronic instruments are now produced under the Thermo name brand, but this one would appear to predate that.
It looks like this is part number 335802-000, and I think the reason that is important is that this particular version appears to be fitted with the mini sipper seven-place sample carousel.
The unit powers up and goes through a lengthy initialization starting with the display showing 010 and finally ending when it got to 760 as I recall.
It is totally responsive to the keypad but at no time did I observe any light being emitted, so quit possibly it needs the halogen lamp replaced.
Fortunately those do not appear to be expensive.
Untested other than as described and pictured, sold as is, and NO warranty is offered.
However, IF you pay the asking price and find it has a problem you cannot live with within 14 days of receipt you may return it.
Returns are ONLY allowed on Buy It Now Purchases.
Accepted Best Offers are strictly an as is sale, no returns allowed.
Return would be for a refund of the purchase price, not including shipping costs.
Just so that we are clear on that, this is an item that has not been thoroughly tested.

It would be shipping from 27948 in a box presumed to be 24x21x18, 30 pounds .
The ebay shipping calculator has had personal problems that they seem unable or unwilling to rectify since at least January of 2017.
Please contact me with the shipping amount you are seeing BEFORE you buy, as after the fact they will double the shipping charge most of the time for no other reason than perhaps they take a 9% cut of it and if I refund you after the fact I don’t get that 9% back. Pretty clever scam there ebay.
How ‘bout putting a little more effort into solving the problem?
If the device being offered here requires a standard modular computer style AC cord I NO LONGER ship those automatically as most people have accumulated a box of them by now.
IF you need such an AC cord please request one when the item is purchased.
