    Description

Sherlock Holmes Pipe Case and 14 Assorted Estate Pipes.
For your consideration is a vintage Sherlock Holmes pipe case with glass front door, and 14 vintage estate pipes. I am liquidating my collection of restored and unrestored pipes, all of which you see here. Pipes and case are sold as is. Case has a nice wood grain with few scratches on the front door but is in good shape overall. It measures 20 1/2" high, 3" deep and 15 1/2" wide.
In the image of the pipes laid out, they are as follows:
    Left column, top to bottom:
-Carey Magic Inch bent billiard, unrestored. Some cake and lava buildup, some teethmarks on stem. I think the stem is acrylic.
-Dr. Grabow Savoy Zulu, restored. Vulcanite stem is in good shape. Dark brown finish with a few fills in the briar. Push stem, no stinger.
-Silvano Italy apple. Unrestored. Stem needs a polish but no teeth marks.
-Crown Sovereign chunk billiard, restored. Thick walls and big bowl. In great shape with vulcanite stem.
-Dry Filter carved with metal band, unrestored. Big chunk out of the bowl rim but smokable. Lots of teeth chatter.
-Unstamped rusticated bent pot. Lots of scratches on stem, bowl is clean.
-Oldenkott Cavalier, unrestored, red finish billiard. Stem is dirty but no bites or teeth marks -- will clean up nicely.
    Right column, top to bottom:
-Kaywoodie Custom Grain shape 14 bent billiard, restored. Very clean, no cake, polished and cleaned, 3 hole stinger.
-Kaywoodie White Briar 98B, restored. Couple big bite marks in stem, almost all white paint left on, 4 hole stinger.
-Dr. Grabow Meerschaum Lined, unrestored. Meer lining is cracked and broken. A polish will clean this one up nicely.
-Algerian Briar billiard, restored. Clean, polished stem and minimal cake. Lightweight and ready to smoke.
-Ranger 359 carved billiard. Has a stinger and what I believe to be an acrylic stem. Couple bite marks.
-Kiko Merlin leather-covered, meerschaum lined Canadian, unrestored. Meer lining is cracked on two sides but I believe it's smokable in this condition. Screw stem (probably not original) needs a polish.
-Antique Imported Briar carved volcano, unrestored. Triangular stem needs restoration and has a few bite marks.
Also including three bowls without stems: Darby Imported Briar Dublin, Ranger 359 Dublin, Tyrolean pipe bowl with metal cap.
