S. YANIK UNSMOKED MAN'S BEST FRIEND XXL CASED MEERSCHAUM ESTATE PIPE

Description

Sadik Yanik or more widely known as just "Yanik" is one of the most prolific and talented Meerschaum carvers of all time, his pieces treasured the world over. He has been carving for 43 years and produces some of the most spectacular functional art Meers that are known for being exceptional smokers as well being carved from the highest grade Turkish block. This figural is absolutely stunning and remains unsmoked. How Yanik can carve any shape or figure is beyond me. A magnum pipe it is quite large at over 8" in length and over 4" tall. The attention to detail is second to none, a rare work of art and captures man's best friend here in perfect form. I believe it's a Labrador that sits on a base that is relatively flat and allows the pipe to rest on its own. The head is hinged with a locking clasp and opens to find a deep cavernous chamber affording plenty of capacity. To the rear we find a Sterling Silver mount which holds the faux Amber old school style stem with round draft hole centered in the button. Finish is beeswax to protect and aid in coloring the pipe which over time will bring a phenomenal color once smoked enough.
Comes complete with fitted case, this is hands-down one of the most impressive pieces I've seen from Yanik, awaits its first smoke, and simply will not disappoint!
