Blackjack Tartan Dirk Dagger
This knife has been well cared for and is in overall excellent condition with original Blackjack Edge untouched. This beast comes in the original all leather sheath.
The Dirk's overall length is 13.75". The business end of this unique killer checks in at a mean 8.70"😳 It has many characteristics adding to it uniqueness that will make this a collectable knife that is ever increasing in value. One of them being the SHORT production run.
The "top side" of the blade has a triangular grind that ensures durability and strength. The "backside" Is suited with a concave grind for swift thrust removal, acting like a blood groove. A fencing dimple was added for orientation and balance. They thought of everything!
The Blackjack was designed by the custom knife maker Pat Crawford.
The design of this knife was to overcome the flaws of such knives as the famous
Fairbairn-Sykes dagger
. The F/S main flaws are that they are weak at the blade tip and at the portion in which the guard and the blade meet as well as weak in cutting capability.
To address the problems of F/S dagger, the Tartan Dirk was designed to have both sharp strong edges and to retain the shape of a dagger.
Serrations were another missing component of the Fairbairn Sykes fighting knives and this was taken into consideration when the Tartan Dirk was created, adding versatility.

Brushed Satin finish. It has a Rubberized handle for wet work. Very unique! Deadly. It's run was limited to 900. Value will trend upward.
When you see one, pick it up. Fits well in the hand. It's a powerful feeling. It's my opinion this beautiful Dirk has many excellent designs in mind. The main, to be a single thrust killer.
Mine is the best on eBAy in condition IMO. If you find a better one buy them both. I have never see this knife come with Allen head screws in the grip. The flat is for trench purposes. Well thought out. Beware of reproductions of a knife in this class. It's worth twice the going price IMO, because it is a
first
AND
last
production run. If I didn't need the resources I would not sell this knife.
Please see pictures as they can do the rest of the describing better than I can. The Item shown is the same shipped. It is unused except for show. I've seen people hold it and become obviously uncomfortable. My theory is that somewhere deep they know it's purpose, which frightens some. Vicious looking.
