OLD Meerschaum Cutty w/ Silver band & an Amber stem in a fitted case Stock# MB40

This is a real Antique looking
Meerschaum pipe in a Cutty shape and
it comes in the original fitted case with an
Amber stem and it has a silver band.
This is an ancient Meerschaum from My friend Jessie's pipe collection.
It comes with the original fitted case that's in very nice condition but it doesn't
have any names or anything inside the case to help identify the  maker.
This has been smoked a lot so it has considerable coloring.
The Amber stem appears to be in excellent condition and naturally it's beautiful, but
I've had terrible luck when  messing with Meerschaums, so I'm  afraid to even remove the stem.
When I applied light pressure I felt it give a little, but I didn't try to remove it.
This pipe looks pretty clean, it doesn't have an  odor to it and the draw is good.
I ran a pipe cleaner through it from the button and it went through smoothly all the
way to  the bottom of the  bowl, so it has THAT going for  it.
I think  My friend  Jessie bought this and  kept it as part of His large collection as both a
display piece and as a smoker. It does have a beauty to it that takes years to  achieve.
Jessie is no longer here to give Me more information about it so all I can do is describe it.
My problem is ... I am a Briar Guy, I know briar pipes and I have very little experience with
Meerschaum pipes. Out of the last 4 Meerschaum pipes I've messed with, I broke two of them
trying to unscrew a tenon to re-clock them, so I'm not going to mess with them, I'll just sell
them as they came and let YOU Monkey with them.
