I am offering you a computer spectrometer manufactured by the American company Spir-Ident, currently Mirion.
The device is designed for precise radiation measurements and isotope composition determination.
The main radiation detector is a very large (2l volume) sodium iodide (NaTl) single crystal connected with a photomultiplier tube and a spectrometer system.
The spectrometer has 1024 channels.
Each channel has a resolution of around 3keV.
The entire spectrometer is equipped with dedicated software that allows for real-time display of the emission spectrum, element recognition, recording of measurement results and cooperation with other recording devices.
It is also possible to measure the number of counts, measure thresholds exceeded, and set thresholds manually.
Dozens of measurement functions are available.
The monitor screen is a touch screen.
This greatly simplifies the use of the instrument menu.
The measuring part is connected to the computer with a standard LAN cable, which can be up to 100 m long.
On the scintillator crystal there are 2 thick lead screens on the opposite sides, which make the scintillator have directional properties, i.e. it measures the incoming beam accurately.
The device also has a built-in standard GM counter for measuring larger doses.
The device can be used both in industrial conditions and as an element of laboratory equipment.
It works great as a measuring gate wherever we want to detect isotopes).
At the same time, it is possible to remove the measuring module from the base (the post shown in the photo) and install it on a laboratory stand.
The offered instrument is in perfect technical condition.
Has been tested.
It was practically not used.
