Massive Antique Meerschaum Tobacco Pipe Alligator w/ Case
Used
I am pleased to offer a very large Antique carved Meerschaum figural pipe in the original lined case. C. late 1800s.
Beautifully hand carved featuring an alligator on a detailed log surrounded by branches.  The case has a leather exterior that is alligator skin or finely detailed to look as such.  The interior of the case is stamped "Warranted Finest Quality Meerschaum".
The Pipe measures 3-1/2" tall, 5-1/2" long, and is 2-1/2" at the widest point.
The case lid has a brass frame and brass hinges and measures 9" X 4" X 2-7/8".
Condition:
This pipe is in good used condition and has aged to differing hues of tan and gold. It is missing the original stem. The case has broken hinges and is in two pieces. The case shows general wear to the leather. This piece displays very well and would make a fine addition to any collection.
