Imported, Hand Finished Small Meerschaum Pipe - TOPKAPI Our Small-Deluxe pipes are beautifully crafted from a Turkish Meerschaum and other natural mineral formulation made by our own proprietary and exclusive process. We only use this formulation for making our line of small and miniature pipes. Royal Meerschaum developed this line due to the increasing scarcity and raising costs of raw solid block Meerschaum. The Small Deluxe pipes are sculpted with more exquisite detail than miniature versions. Both are good for a quick, smooth, smoke. Each pipe is hand detailed and inspected for consistency in quality and design. Unlike hardwood pipes, our meerschaum pipes don't require a "break-in" period and their bowls do not burn out. The Topkapi design was named for Topkapi Palace. A large and historic palace in Istanbul, Turkey. For centuries, It was the primary residence of the Ottoman sultans. The palace received the name Topkapi (Cannon Gate) in the 19th century after a (now lost) gate and shore pavilion that were architecturally featured. *Stem color may vary from the picture shown.
