The crossover board consists of the famous Linkwitz-Riley filter. Linkwitz-Riley filters are mainly used in active filter circuits, such as many sophisticated multi-channel electronic crossover systems. The filter is characterized by an attenuation slope of up to fourth order. In other words, every other octave frequency, the sound will be attenuated by 24dB of energy, that is, the attenuation slope is -24dB / Oct (Oct is Octave, an octave Interval means). At the same time, the Linkwitz-Riley filter has a very flat phase response over the entire audio frequency range (20Hz-20kHz), which is much superior to Butterworth filter. After the signal passes through the filter, there will be no phase distortion, so respected by audio enthusiasts.
