Description

This Fiber Optic Reflectance Probe (
R600-7-UV-SR
) for UV-VIS spectrometer measurements has
6 optical UV-SR fibers that illuminate a sample, bundled around 1 600μm read fiber that sends the reflected light from a sample to a spectrometer.
For reflectance measurements the 7 exterior fibers are illuminated by a high output power fiber optic UV or VIS light source and the center read fiber collects the reflected light and returns the signal to the spectrometer. The probe is typically used to measure color using a 45 degree angle (diffuse reflectenace) and also thin film measurement using a 90 degree angle (specular reflectance).
The fiber connecting the probe has steel monocoil protection in a black PVC jacket. Each of 2 legs terminate with SMA905 fiber optic connectors. The total length of the fiber plus probe are short as works best to pass UV light.
