The EnTrek USA Merc Knife is the black sheep of the family! Thisknife is double edged, razor sharp, dirty, mean and nasty. Though thehandle looks a little different most people find it to be verycomfortable in almost any grip.
The Merc features a 6.8" blade with a full 3/16"thickness. The blade is made of 440C Stainless Steel, with a plainbead blast finish. The blades are heat treated, sub-zero stabilizedand double drawn to 57-58 RC. This gives a combination of toughness,edge holding and corrosion resistance that is hard to match even withmuch more expensive steels. Jimping on the blade allows for extragrip. Overall length is 12"
The handle uses black canvas micarta. Black Canvas micarta notonly looks good but it also provides a very good gripping surface aswell as being impervious to heat, cold, oil, water and other thingsthat would destroy most handle materials.
The sheath is made from black Kydex and features a belt clip, andblack eyelets so you can lash the sheath to your gear if that is yourdesire.
