Ealing Laser/Optical Collimator
For sale- a laser/optical collimator.
I guess.
I could be displaying some major ignorance, and if so please feel free to correct me.
What I can say with certainty is that it is an optical device used in the beam path of various spectrometers and spectrophotometers as kind of a telescope in reverse, I would assume to focus the beam.
I have quite an assortment of these and I need to start finding new homes for them.
This one is fitted with an Ealing lens, whether that makes it an Ealing product or whatever manufacturer just liked that lens I cannot say.
And given the concentrated nature of laser light, I have no idea if this is compatible with something other than the usual UV/Vis light sources used in regular spectrometers, but I wouldn’t think the low power HeNe lasers used in the average FTIR would harm it.
Untested other than as described and pictured, sold as is, and NO warranty is offered.
HOWEVER, IF you pay the asking price and it has a problem that you cannot live with within 14 days of receipt you may return it.
