Contemporary Clerical STOLE Contoured Woven Red Silk Pentecost Flames & Chi Rho

Description

Here is a contemporary clerical stole made of coarsely woven medium red silk fabric and lined in fine gold silk. The fabric is cut in a slightly contoured shape with a gilded metal chain affixed to the inner edges allowing the stole to drape gracefully across the shoulders and behind the neckline (see photos # 1 and 2).
This is a stole most suitable for the Feast of PENTECOST, or of Martyr Saints in the liturgical calendar of the Christian Church. It features an embroidered Chi Rho symbol and what look to be stylized tongues of flame in gold and red textured fabric, highlighted with metallic gold stitching- an elegant and attractive contemporary liturgical vestment.
There is no information on the piece as to place of origin or manufacture, but it looks like one of the fine works of the European ecclesiastical art company, SLABBINCK of Belgium- but we cannot be sure, as there is no label attached to the stole.
It measures 58” long from the cross at the center neckline to outer bottom edge, 7” wide at the bottom panels; the gold plated holding chain is 7” long. The item is graded in Near Mint condition- I don't think the stole has ever been used liturgically.
