Clerical Cassock Smaller Size Gaspard Winnipeg Canada Black Glazed Snap Buttons

A vintage clerical cassock is offered here, probably circa 1960s/70s in age and on the smaller size, with a black glazed snap-button front, and manufactured by Gaspard and Sons, Winnipeg, Canada, which information made be read on the tag on the inside back neck portion. Other features include two side pocket openings and a nicely pleated back and rear. There are nine widely spaced buttons running along the front and with ample room left at the bottom front to insure against accidental tripping.
This cassock should fit a smaller sized person. It measures 57 long from back neck center to skirt bottom, 7 1/2” diameter wide collar (size 14-14 1/2), 16 ” across at the shoulder tops and 18” across from seam to seam at the chest. The waist measures 18- 18 1/2” diameter (size 32-34) and the arms are 18- 18 1/2 “ long, measured from underarm seam to outer cuff edge. The 9 buttons are black glazed metal, each 5 1/2” in diameter. The garment is unlined and the black fabric looks to be an attractive light weight cotton blend. The garment is graded in quite Fine condition: used, but very gently and with no imperfections to note.
