Description

A beautiful two piece Roman Catholic chasuble & matching stole combination is offered here, vintage 1950s in age and in made in the flowing Gothic or Greek style.
The vestments are composed of soft green silk brocade with unusual square cross Deco designs, and lined in red silk. The center orphrey panels have an embroidered Chi Rho insignia in the center in raised red threads with metallic gold background at the center, and the panels have Celtic knotwork designs alternating with square crosses.
The front of the chasuble has a double snap system at the neckline for easier fitting, and the stole has a cross on the center neckline with two square cross designs on the end of the panels and finished in red/gold fringe.
Both the vestment pieces are graded in FINE condition,once used, but quite gently- with no discernible stains,tears or other imperfections of note. We are selling these as a two piece ensemble, probably handmade in USA or Canada, although thee are no labels on the vestment as to manufacturer or place of origin.
