    Genuine Fairbairn Sykes fighting knife
    J. Nowill & Sons of Sheffield, England. A division of Sheffield Knives.
    Die-cast metal ribbed handle
    Cast into the handle is the famous "Crossed Keys" makers mark of J. Nowill & Sons
    7 inch carbon steel blade
    Carbon steel is harder than stainless and holds an edge better but will need to be wiped over with an oily cloth occasionally to prevent oxidation
    All black finish
    Stamped into one side of the guard is the British Army / MOD "Broad Arrow" acceptance mark, as well as the "diamond H" mark
    On the other side of the guard is stamped "J. Nowill & Sons, Sheffield England"
    Overall length of the knife is approximately 12 inches
    Comes with genuine top quality thick leather sheath with reinforced steel tip and tabs
    This pattern was issued to Commando's, members of the Parachute Regiment & the LRDG (Long Range Desert Group, the forerunner of the SAS) during WWII and continued to be issued to members of the Royal Marine Commandos & the Parachute Regiment ever since. This is a brand new 2022 production knife.
    In 2019 a member of the British SBS (Special Boat Service) is reported to have taken on two ISIS fighters with his Fairbairn-Sykes Commando knife during house to house fighting when his weapon was knocked out of his hands. He dispatched one and the other fled.
