Antique Carved Pipe Stem Mouthpiece Lotus Flower

We purchased this gorgeous flexible pipe stem at an Estate Sale where we were advised that it is an Antique Pipe Stem and Mouthpiece dating back to the late 18th to early 19th Century, but are not sure of the country of origin. It appears that it screws onto a tobacco bowl or hookah of some kind. The carved areas are in nice Vintage condition with the expected wear for their age including some chips, scratches and cracks. The woven fabric covering the flexible metal spring stem has a great deal of wear including multiple holes where it has unraveled. We have not seen another one exactly like it. It would look amazing framed on your wall or in a glass display case as part of your collection.
