Alb/Surplice Skirt Portion Vintage Cross+Chalice Motif w/Small Crosses Unusual

Although this piece of liturgical lace crochet would beautifully decorate a small altar in church or chapel as a frontal, if was actually designed as a skirt bottom for a clerical alb or surplice, probably for one of monsignor's or bishop's rank in the Catholic Church: note the system of small crosses woven into the overall design at the top 2” edge of the fabric, which would stand out sharply against the background color, whether it be black, red or purple.
This is vintage 1960s in age, donated from a Canadian bishop's estate to a religious community in my area, proceeds from the sale going towards support of their missions, but I don't think it has ever actually been used, being graded in near mint condition.
When fully opened, as shown in photo #2, it measures 72“ long, 12 “ wide from top edge including the row of crosses, to the lowest scallop, and is finished at both ends.
When folded in two, as in the 1st picture,  it would make a skirt approx 36“ in diameter.
This is cotton or cotton polyester blend in its composition, pure white, and features alternating Italian Crosses and Chalices as the motif, interspersed with florals- a nice multi functional piece of handmade vintage liturgical lace.
