    Description

The 9:1 UNUN is design to balance 450Ω ohm line to match a 50Ω ohm Unbalance coaxial cable. it uses the Guanella approach of connecting transmission line in a series parallel arrangement such that in-phase voltage are summed at the high-impedance side, at the 50 to 450Ω ohms impedance level. The resonance is nearly flat throughout the entire HF ham amateur bans 1-30MHz
This particular UNUN  is use for the most part on the “non-resonant length END FEED wire antenna", this balun is usually use with End Fed (Unbalance) random wire where the impedance at the end is about 450 Ω. It will need external antenna tuner and 1:1 balun to eliminate common mode.
    This UNUN is a 9:1 ratio, balanced 450 Ω-ohm load to unbalance 50 Ω-ohm
Ferrite Core:Low permeability ferrite Coated and sealed for a longtime durability.
Wire:14-gauge heavy duty build Polyamide-imide, magnetic wire.
    Power rating:5000 watts—2500 watts—1000 watts 1-30MHz.
To obtain full power handling you must have 1.5 lower SWR if is higher than 1.5 SWR will reduce power handling and created loses.
    Frequency range:1-30MHz
    Loss: less than 0.5
    Hardware: stainless steel hardware.
Junction box: marine grade, suitable for outdoor installation. 4x4x2
    High efficiency: (98%99%)
A balun doesn’t help to lower the SWR. A balun is a device that is been used to transform a “BAL” balance line to “UN” unbalance load, that’s how the worth BALUN was created.
UNUN is the same "Un"balance to "Un"balance load.
The UNUN or Balun it might not be the one on the picture depending on inventory. However, it will be design with the specification that is described.
