3 Vintage Cinctures Gold Green Red 1950s Fancy Silk Crochet Tassels 14-20' NICE

Description

Cinctures were traditionally used to gird the clerical alb around the waist for liturgical ceremonial purposes, and were considered to be a symbol of chastity. Here are a collection of THREE cinctures, in the three liturgical colors of Gold, Green and Red.
The Red Cincture is approx 14 feet long, including the tassel portions each 8” long; the Gold Cincture is approx 18' long, including the ornate crochet woven portions each almost 10” long; the Green Cincture is 20 feet, including 10” for the two woven tassels.
These are in beautifully woven silk thread, with cords ¼ to 3/8” in diameters, very strong and flexible, circa 1950s in age, all graded in Fine condition, but for a slight bit of wear noted on the green cincture only.
We are selling these as a grouping of THREE, and we would ask that you do not request that we offer them individually at this time.
